Rent a Cayuco
Have you ever paddled a cayuco?
Would you like to live an authentic experience in the most famous lake in Guatemala?
We offer our guests the chance to discover how locals move around Lake Atitlán on these handmade boats. A proper experience you can't miss. You can even go fishing with a local fisherman - just ask!
Price: Q20 per hour and kayuco (up to 3 persons)
Play with Local Kids
We have a basketball and football court which our guests can enjoy at anytime totally FREE!!
Relax playing sports or with the local kids, it's such a unique experience.
Would you like to share your knowledge teaching locals?
We want to let people know what an amazing experience teaching students. Our volunteers will help you out during the classes so don't worry if you haven't taught before - just do your best! Locals will appreciate it, they are awesome.
Teach English to Locals
Do you want to swim in this magical lake?
There is a beautiful spot just 10 minutes walk from our hostel where you can jump off the dock and go swimming. Refresh yourself while enjoying the views of a breathtaking volcano. Our staff will give you precise directions on how to get there, it's very easy!!
Swim at the Lake
Go canoeing on weekends!!
Visit the Chutinamit Mayan Ruins and Gatos Island with our local guide Samuel. Go canoeing with him and enjoy the wonderful views of this tour while you exercise. Both Mayan Ruins and the Island are just 15 minutes canoeing from our hostel. It's such a nice experience.
Time: Every Saturday and Sunday from 12.00h to 17.00h
